Apologies for not responding earlier. I took a few days off. I probably should have put in more background on that. I will in the future. In this case, I'm providing evidence that there is nothing ideological about Lilienfeld's work, diversity research (be it in medical, educational, social...any kind of academically vetted research), or disparities research is in no way ideological. The word ideology is a belief system based on what a group of people, for whatever reason, believe there are settled facts about the nature of people, cultures, societies, and so on. That is the primary reason behind wanting to separate or keep these things as separate as possible. There are no political movements, to my knowledge, that have outright stated in their party platform that they will preemptively prohibit some types of research (research they believe is based on assumptions) other than the AfD and other parties of the Right worldwide. There exists, therefore, a rising fear among academics of having their work subjected to political assumptions of certainty rather than academic ones of inquiry for approval should these parties be in control of public policy.
